The problems in our schools are
too complicated to
solve.
Modern education reform has been based more on political expediency and pedagogical fashion than on sound teaching methods and the best interests of children. Could the biggest problems in our schools be the reforms themselves?

America still has the best institutions of learning in the
world.
The leaders in our political, economic, and educational institutions have one or more degrees, often from our most prestigious universities, yet many appear to lack the principles and skills required to solve the problems confronting our nation. We the People continue to accept this as status quo. What are we failing to learn in school about humanity, democratic participation, and problem solving?
CW:
The American education system is failing.
While schools are failing to give children the education they need and deserve, the American education system is the most powerful and influential institution in the country. What else could account for the fact that we just keep sending our children to schools that are academically inferior and often
dangerous? Why do teachers keep implementing policies they know are ineffectual and even harmful, to children? Could it be that we’re all just doing what we were taught to do in school, which is to sit down, keep quiet, and do whatever it takes to get the grade, no matter how absurd or irrelevant the assignment might be?
